| Elvis is a magnificent lion, bearing many of the hallmarks
of Crater Lions. His size is the same as some of the tigers on the
compound. He came to us from Oregon, where he was unfortunately raised
alone. Lions are hardwired to form relationships with other lions, and
as such his isolation has left him with lingering insecurities. But
since arriving with us, he has cohabitated with Kola, who has been teaching
him more of what it means to be a lion. In spite of being sweet most of
the time, he can get a bit ornery when food is at stake. Even Kola
knows to stay clear when 'the king' says so!
